Heatwave

As you may know, the Met Office have now extended their red warning until late tomorrow, and I would like to remind you the following measures remain in place on Friday:

• Pupils should wear light-coloured, loose-fitting, comfortable clothing - school uniform need not be worn on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

• Sunhats with wide brims to avoid sunburn are recommended.

• Sandals are permitted; flip-flops are not advisable.

• Just cold lunches will be served.

• School will close at 1.15, following registration. Any child who cannot be collected at this time will be supervised in Apples & Pears, where there is air-conditioning; please email (admin@northaw.herts.sch.uk) if you anticipate difficulties.

The school day, catering arrangements and uniform expectations will return to normal on Monday.
