England are due to play Argentina in the World Cup on Wednesday at 8pm.

I understand if some of you, especially parents of the older children, would like to share this moment together; therefore, while school will open as normal on Thursday, registers will not be closed until 11am, giving them a bit more time in bed.

School dinners must, however, be ordered by 9.45am, so if you intend to arrive later than that, please either send your child with a packed lunch or place an order with Amy beforehand.

Should England make it through to the final on 19 July at 8pm, I will offer the same arrangements on 20 July.

We will, therefore, postpone the Leavers' Service until first thing on 23 July - the last day of term.
