School Council
Everyone living in our country shares fundamental British values, things very important to us:
- Democracy
- The rule of law
- Individual liberty
- Mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs
We practise democracy at Northaw through the School Council.
The School Council is a group of school students who have been elected by the other students to represent their views about decisions that affect the school. Meetings are chaired by the Head Boy, Head Girl, Deputy Head Boy and Deputy Head Girl.
Our next meeting is scheduled for w/c 10 February.
Just before this, members lead meetings of the Class Council, when every pupil has a chance to suggest ways of improving Northaw. They can then bring any issues raised to the School Council.

Following a discussion at the School Council, there is now a suggestion box in the library. If you would like to suggest a book for us to buy, please write the title on a slip of paper and drop it in the box for the Reading Champions.
